2020. Another new take on the Koinobori cycling cap , made at the same time as the München edition.
This cap was designed to check out two new things: a) if it is possible to also print neon colors on the caps and b) how that interesting, undyed fabric the Italian manufacturer offered would perform. For a) it is – as long as the fabric is white or of very light color. And it looks cool!
For b) the fabric turned out to be quite rough, a bit thicker than the other ones I had in hands before. And probably because of the special quality of that fabric the size of the caps was a lot larger than the previous ones. At first I was shocked because it would only fit giants! But then I found out that a nice little bath in very hot water would make them shrink and also fit normal sized heads.
Because the new design of the teeth used for the München cap ist sort of more „same language“ as the style the rest of the cap is drawn in, I also used the diamond shaped ones for this cap.
Printed with neon orange ink on undyed and white fabric.
The cap is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. Silk screen printed and sewn by Apis in Italy.
